How many students qualified for TS ECET 2023?
Hyderabad: Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test ( TS ECET )2023 results were declared on Tuesday with a total of 22454 appeared for the entrance test out of that 96.53 precent candidats qualified the entrance exam. The results announced by Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman Prof.
R Limbadri along with senior officers at TSCHE. The results are hosted on the website https://ecet.tsche.ac.in/, Total candidates qualified from Telangana is 19054 and Andhra Pradesh is 1845. The TS ECET – FDH and BSE Mathematics) entrance test was topped by Srinivas Reddy of Kothagudem who scored 82 marks, while A Ramulu of Jangaon secured second position and Mir Aijaz Ali secured third ranks respectively.
Top three candidates in Chemical Engineering, topped by V Shakar of Andhra Pradesh who scored 132 marks, while Karthik Kumar of Andhra Pradesh secured second position and Venkata Naga secured third rank respectively. Top three candidates in Civil Engineering, topped by M Sathwik of Hyderabad who scored 161 marks, while MD Ruksana of Warangal secured second position and Sai Kalkieshwar secured third rank respectively.

- Among different engineering courses, Computer Science and IT related courses recorded 84 per cent seats allotted out of 5,990 seats, while there were 3226 seats in Electronics and Electrical courses, of which 92 per cent were allotted.
- Likewise, out of 1861 seats in Civil, Mechanical and allied courses, 98 per cent were allocated.
In the case of BPharmacy admissions for MPC stream students, four per cent out of 1174 were allocated. This year, 19,558 candidates qualified in the TS ECET, 13,440 attended certificate verification and 13429 exercised web options. A total of 3411 candidates did not get seat allotment as they exercised a limited number of web options.
As many as 581 candidates got seats under the economically weaker section quota. Candidates who received seat allotment should self-report online on the website and pay the fee on or before September 22. The provisional seat allotment order stands cancelled, if students fail to self-report online or pay the amount before the deadline.
Candidates must report at the allotted colleges between September 30 and October 10 and handover a set of photocopies of certificates and original transfer certificate, after the final phase of counselling. The TS ECET is conducted for diploma and BSc Mathematics degree holders for lateral entry admission to second year BE/BTech and BPharmacy courses offered by colleges in the State.

How many seats are available in engineering colleges in Telangana?
Over 1.11 Lakh Engineering Seats in Telangana Approved by AICTE 
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved a total of 1,11,147 seats in various engineering courses in the State for the academic year 2022-23. While 7,380 seats were accorded for closure, 7,815 seats were added to various courses, particularly those focusing on emerging technology.
For the academic year 2022-23, no seats in new courses have been approved. The most seats, 28,435 in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), were approved, followed by 16,209 in Electronics and Communication Engineering, 13,470 in CSE (AI & ML), 8,910 in CSE (Data Science), 7,440 in Information Technology (IT), 7,417 in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and 6,765 in Civil Engineering.
The apex technical body approved a total of 1,11,738 engineering seats in various courses last year. The affiliating institution will inspect the colleges and grant affiliation for the academic year after receiving approval from the AICTE. The AICTE’s seat approval is not final, but the university’s affiliation is.
- The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)-Hyderabad, which has many affiliated colleges, has already begun the process of giving affiliation for the academic year 2022-23.
- According to Technical Education Department authorities, there were 1.05 lakh engineering seats available last year, including convener and management quotas.
