NEW DELHI: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the ISC Date Sheet 2023 on December 01, 2022. As per the ISC 2023 Timetable, the exams will begin from February 13, 2023 with English Language paper and it will conclude on March 31, 2023 with Environmental Science paper.

  3. The official notification of ISC Date Sheet 2023 mentions, “A candidate who arrives late will be required to give a satisfactory explanation and reason to the Supervising Examiner.

Except in exceptional circumstances, a paper will not be given to any candidate who is more than half an hour late. Absolute punctuality is essential. Answers (5) ISC board strictly follows best of 4 rule with English as an compulsory subject. I am also a ISC passed out student and i have got a percentage guidelines certificate issued from my school. JEE does not require any 12th percentage because when we appear in JEE our 12th results are not declared. Hello Radhika, The percentage in JEE is considered for all the 5 subjects in ISC board.The subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics,English and one more additional subject, You need to get 75% in boards or you need to be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board to be eligible to get admission into NITs and IITs.

The Central Bureau of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced introduction of new skill subjects for classes 9th and 11th. The board announced that the interested students of these two classes can register for the newly introduced subjects through the CBSE registration portal.

The CBSE said the new initiatives has been introduced as part of the National Education Policy ( NEP ) 2020 guidelines. The Board also announced, as per the new policy, the class 10 students can consider the marks of any of the newly-introduced skills subjects in their – Best of 5, if they are not satisfied with marks in any other subjects.

The new guidelines will come into effect from the the next academic session in 2023-24. CBSE in its circular stated, “The Scheme of Studies for the students opting for skill subjects in classes IX-X has been amended as follows: If a student studies three compulsory subjects (i.e., Science, Mathematics and Social Science) and also chooses to study a Skill subject (offered as sixth optional subject), then the aggregate of best five including two languages (Subject 1 & 2) and the best three (from subject 3, 4, 5 & 6, including Skill subject) can be considered for calculation of percentage”.

  • Children with Special Needs (CWSN) may opt for one language and any four subjects including the skill subject.
  • Further, if any student fails in any one of the three elective subjects (Science, Mathematics and Social Science), then it will be replaced by the skill subject (offered as a 6th additional subject).

Currently, over 27 lakh students of Class 9 and Class 12 are studying skill subjects across the country in the CBSE affiliated schools. CBSE offers 22 skill subjects in Class 9 and Class 10 and 43 skill subjects in Class 11 and Class 12. The schools and students can also opt for one or more of these skill modules.
