RSMSSB Forest Guard Selection Process 2021 – The RSMSSB Forest Guard exam consists of four stages. The details of each stage are given below:
Written Test: The written exam consists of 100 marks. There are 100 questions of objective type. Candidates will be allotted 90 minutes to complete the exam. Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST & PET): This is conducted to check the candidate’s physical fitness according to predefined measurements and tests. This is conducted offline at centers decided by the board. Interview: It is conducted to assess the candidate’s personality and general awareness. It is usually conducted offline at centers decided by the board. Medical Examination: It checks a candidate’s fitness levels through various medical tests and identifies serious illnesses. It is conducted offline at hospitals or laboratories decided by the board.

Selection process consists of written exam, physical efficiency test, physical measurement test and medical examination.

UPSSSC Forest Guard Salary 2023 Vanrakshak Pay Scale Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission had advertised for the posts of Forest Guard (Vanrakshak) and Vanya Jeev rakshak through advt no.05-Exam/2019. In this recruitment, candidates will be selected through written test and Physical test (PET / PST) and Medical exam.
UPSSSC had advertised for 655 posts which includes 596 posts of Vanrakshak and 59 posts of Vanya Jeev Rakshak. Application forms for this advt were filled from 18 July to 08 August 2019. A newly appointed candidate gets salary as per pay band 5200-20200 with grade pay Rs.1900 level 2 pay matrix. Basic pay is calculated using this pay band and various allowances are applied on this basic pay i.e.
Dearness allowance, HRA, medical allowance etc. Based on the above pay scale, the total salary for Vanrakshak posts is around Rs.30000-33000 depending on posting area. The deduction includes NPS pension scheme. After reducing deductions from gross salary, the cash in hand salary is around Rs.27200-30200 per month.

LBSNAA – LBSNAA is a premier academy under the department of personnel and training, Government of India. When candidates accept the offer, they land in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration Mussorie. They spend 15 weeks of their training interacting with their fellow officer.
After spending a brief time in LBSNAA, they are sent back to their parent academy Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, where their actual training starts. When they complete their training at the academy, officers are given a Master’s Degree in Science (Forestry). Officers learn about 52 subjects of life sciences in the training of two years. Apart from theoretical knowledge, they also learn about the handling of weapons, Swimming, Motor Vehicle Training, Forest and Wildlife Crime Detection.
- Officers have various attachments with the Government Bodies and organizations like the Indian Military Academy, Wildlife Institute of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Bombay Natural History Society.
- Officer trainees have to travel extensively in India and in international countries as part of their training program.
After completion of training, they go for a probation period of 1 year. They conducted field visits and were given the rank of Assistant Conservators of Forests in that period. The Government of India launched a new Cadre Allocation Policy for All India Service in August 2017.
- Officer spends large time of carrer into their respective cadre until they deputed for the Central post.
- Under this scheme, selected candidates have to fill their preference rankwise.
- Cadres are divided into five zones.
