According to Islamic rules, Muslims must pay Fitra by donating a specific quantity of wheat, flour, dates, raisins, cheese, or maize to the poor, or by providing the equivalent market price of these items.
If Fitra is given based on the price of wheat or flour, 1 kg and 650 grams or its market value should be paid as Tk 115. For barley, 3 kg and 300 grams or its market price is set at Tk 396, while for raisins it is 3 kg and 300 grams or a market price of Tk 1,650.

This Fitra has been determined based on the market prices of flour, barley, dates, raisins, and cheese collected from various parts of the country.
The committee stated that Muslims can contribute Sadaqatul Fitr using any of the aforementioned products or their market values according to their capacity. The local retail market prices for these products may vary. As a result, even if payment is made based on the local rate, there will be no issue in fulfilling the ritual.
